The Queer Museum of Digital Art

The Q.MODA 2023 artist grant program, powered by Zora.

The QMoDA Artists Grant is a program dedicated to proliferating the visibility and success of queer and trans artists in the web3 space.

Artists were selected for their outstanding and expansive work and can use the grant funding as they wish. Artists keep 100% of the proceeds from the sale of their editions. Ten artists were nominated to receive 1 ETH each and are invited to create an editioned work on the Ethereum blockchain. The QMoDA board nominated five artists, and those artists subsequently nominated one artist each for a total of ten grant recipients.

Trans and Queer artists are historically underrepresented in the NFT space. This often means that artists working with web3 technology often need to put their passions on hold to work jobs that don’t fulfill them artistically. The QMODA Arts Grant aims to correct this imbalance by funding the artistic passions of Trans and Queer creators worldwide.

Powered by a donation by Zora Labs, QMoDA was able to award merit-based ETH grants to artists worldwide. Each artist is also invited to create an original artwork and release it as an edition on Zora.co
